Description
This rustic renovated cabin adjoins the World Heritage Barrington Tops National Park. Enjoy beautiful views of the majestic forest and experience the visiting wildlife; parrots, Bush turkeys, nesting Lyrebirds and the resident wallaby and her joey. Relax and enjoy the beautiful views on the wrap around verandah, play some tennis, stroll to Crystal pool for a refreshing dip in the river or explore some of the beautiful walking trails through the majestic forest. This is a very special place. The space One of our guests, Phillip, describes the space better than we can: "This is a compact, comfy and well equipped cabin in an idyllic rainforest location away from phone, internet and busy-ness. Just what we wanted for our mini holiday. Wish we could have had longer than 3 days. Beautiful rainforest walks, the sounds of a myriad of native birds, and loads and loads of peace and respite. We made lots of use of the tennis court. Already planning when we can get back there." Our little cabin is comfortable and welcoming. Enjoying and supporting the environment are the core values of The Cabin. Renovated and decorated through sustainable principles using recycled, natural materials. Featuring super comfortable natural latex mattresses and pillows with organic linen and towels true comfort is offered. The wrap around verandah is purpose built for relaxation! Enjoy a cuppa on the historic day bed, sourced from one of the local homesteads and crafted from the superb hardwood timbers the district is celebrated for. The Bush Bar is the perfect place to soak in the views while enjoying a cool drink. Or fire up the bbq for a relaxed meal among the trees. Experience the deep peace of truly relaxing and unwinding. Indulge yourself with a bath at the end of the day. The water is sourced from the nearby river and so offers a pure, relaxing soak. Enjoy the clear waters of the Williams River; one of the most pristine on mainland Australia. There are a number of nearby walking trails catering to every level, from gentle to challenging, all giving you access to a truly special environment. More stunning swimming holes line the Blue Gum walking trail, a gentle walk through the majestic forest. The Cabin shares 10 acres with other cabins so you will likely see other guests although you will also have complete privacy. The cabin offers a largely tech-free retreat - if your idea of a true escape is an internet and mobile phone free environment this is the spot for you! Mobile phone coverage is lost once you enter the park and purposefully there is no wi-fi! For entertainment, there are DVDs with a TV/monitor, board games and books. And for the active, there are tennis racquets and balls provided for use on the full size court on the grounds. Guest access You will have access to the whole cabin. The main queen bedroom is downstairs with a Queen and 2 singles upstairs. The renovated kitchen is fully equipped and the purpose-built lounge is designed for maximum leisure. In addition to the whole of the cabin, you will also have access to the grounds, including a full sized tennis court. Bbqs and pagodas are dotted throughout the complex. Swim at the nearby river, play tennis, recline on the verandah, make yourself at home. The Cabin shares 10 acres with other cabins. Other things to note The second bedroom is a loft. it does not have its own door and as it is up a flight of stairs it is not suitable for very young children. There is a BBQ on your back deck and you are very welcome to use it. I do need to ask you to clean it if you do. Please just treat it as another cooking implement. I find wiping it down every time is easier than a big clean at the end. If the cleaners have to do it there is an extra expense as they have to take the extra time to do so. The Cabin shares 10 acres with other cabins so you will likely see other guests although you will also have complete privacy. To ensure the enjoyment and comfort of all guests outdoor gatherings are not permitted after 10.30 pm. Please be respectful of other guests and the environment up there. Registration Details Exempt
