Very cute and cozy home to enjoy Door County from. Large, private back yard with pergola and plenty of patio seating including a fire pit area. Charcoal grill on site. Home is centrally located between Washington Island and Egg Harbor. It's within .4 mile walking distance to downtown Sister Bay. Great place to get away and relax and still have the fun of the restaurants and shops nearby. This is our home away from home and we hope it will be yours too. (Maple Cottage RT-364) Our home is very comfortable and it does not have "just a rental" vibe. Why? Because we treat this exactly as our home because to us it's not a rental. It's small and cozy but without feeling too tight, with good flow. Front yard and the back yard have great views to take in and plenty of space to go outside and relax in. The downstairs bedroom, is in the walk-out basement and is only suitable for children who are able to take stairs and sleep alone. Note this area is not very sound proof. For your comfort, we ask that no more than 4 adults and 2 children stay in the home due to its small size (or combination of 6 that works with sleeping arrangements). If you have a small child that sleeps in a pack n play, guest would need to bring that along and child would count as part of 6 max occupancy. Take a walk to the east and enjoy the serene country side. Take a walk to the west and enjoy a drink at Husby's or a gelato at The Creamery. During summer and fall Door County can be very busy with traffic. This is a perfect opportunity to leave your car parked and walk downtown to avoid this hassle. If you are planning on driving more than walking, I'd be mindful of left turns, especially on Hwy 42 and look at your GPS to take back roads to destinations. A few mins out of your way, may save you more time than you think and cut down on frustration. No one likes to be stressed on Vacay. :) The property does not have WI-FI and limited TV. If you are considering a long term rental (30 days) this could be negotiated. Cats have been in this property a few times in the off season. If those in your party are severely allergic I want to disclose this. However, I have had friends that are allergic visit often and they are not bothered. Please do not reserve if you feel this will be an issue. Based on previous feedback, this has never been a concern with the high level of cleaning that occurs through out the year.
