Description

Perfect for a romantic vacation or if you are attending FIFA. • 7-minute walk to Lonsdale Quay market/ Canada Soccer House at the Shipyards and to catch the 10 minute SeaBus to downtown Vancouver. • 5-minute SkyTrain ride to BC Place stadium • Stay in a unique waterfront float home close to restaurants. Spa like! Relax on the oceanside deck, take a steam shower, soak in the two-person tub, fire up the BBQ and enjoy dinner, while watching seals swim by! The space We have a luxurious and very modern newly constructed float home right in the Creek Marina in North Vancouver, steps from Lonsdale Quay, restaurants and the SeaBus (15 minutes) to downtown Vancouver. You won't need a car! Sit on our west facing deck overlooking downtown Vancouver and the North Shore mountains, sip a glass of wine while watching the beautiful sunsets. Vancouver is a cycling paradise - cycle around the city on the 22 km Vancouver seawall or explore the Spirit Trail on the North Shore (the marina with our float home is beside the Spirit Trail). We are waterfront in the heart of the North Vancouver, in one of its most vibrant neighborhoods. There are many restaurants within walking distance of the float home. You are a 7 minute walk to the Seabus, and then a 15 minute Seabus ride to the heart of downtown Vancouver: shopping on Robson Street, the Vancouver Art Gallery, theaters, Stanley Park and much more. The Creek Marina is the ultimate water and urban experience, all in one! It's quiet like the country but with all the advantages of the city. Our home is ideally suited as a romantic get-away or vacation for a couple. You have the entire float home (both floors), no other guests above or below you. We have a gourmet chef's kitchen with a 2 ovens (Miele speed oven & Miele steam oven), as well as a Miele range and dishwasher and a Sub-Zero fridge. The float home is highly automated (lighting, heat, blinds), and can be controlled via wall switches, iPad (we leave one for you to use) apps, or using voice commands. You can AirPlay music to the upstairs great room, the master bedroom and master bathroom. You can also use all these things the old fashion way - by flipping switches. Key features: - central air conditioning (summer) - heated floors + forced air furnace (winter) - 1 parking included (although you are walking distance to almost everything) - 2 person steam shower - 2 person soaker tub - balcony with natural gas BBQ and fire pit - high speed fiber optic Internet - gourmet fully-equipped kitchen, Miele and SubZero appliances - fridge - natural gas range - speed oven (microwave or convection) - steam oven (steam or convection) - wine fridge - dishwasher Guest access Guest have access to the whole house. Other things to note The property is situated on the Spirit Trail, a short 7 minute walk from Lower Lonsdale, the Lonsdale Quay market and many restaurants and downtown Vancouver is just a 15-minute SeaBus ride away. Perfect location - you won’t need a car! We rarely use our car, we usually just walk to nearby stores and 70+ nearby restaurants in the lower Londsdale neighbourhood, or take transit to the downtown. You are a 7 minute walk to the SeaBus, and then a 15 minute SeaBus ride to the heart of downtown Vancouver: shopping on Robson Street, the Vancouver Art Gallery, theaters, Stanley Park, Roger’s Arena, Gastown, Yaletown and much more. Going to and from the airport, we usually use transit, as it often faster than a taxi. There is a Canada Line station at the airport, and it will take about 30 minutes to get to Waterfront station (in downtown Vancouver), and then the Seabus will take 15 minutes to take you across the harbour to North Vancouver. Our home is a 7 minute walk from the North Vancouver Seabus terminal. As of May 1, 2024 British Columbia has new restrictions on short-term-rental properties, our float home is exempt as it is our primary residence, and the marina is located on Squamish First Nation land. We pay the Squamish Nation a yearly licence fee for using our home as a short-term-rental when we are not occupying it ourselves. Potential guests need to have prior positive reviews on Airbnb.
