The cottage has original pine flooring and an exposed ceilings in the living room. It is located on Flint Lake. Definitely a fisherman’s dream. You can find pike that average 7lbs, catfish, bass , and more. Take the boat out, go canoeing, swim in the lake, or just catch some rays. So many nearby attractions. Long lake and spectacle lake are also just around the corner. Rent a paddle boat and explore Loomis lake at Rogers Lakewood Park. The stunning calumet bike trail is a 10 minute drive. Sunset hill farms and coffee creek park offer hiking trails. The beautiful scenery, hiking trails, and views at the Indiana Dunes lakeshore is only a 15 minute drive. The Indiana Dunes are often noted as one of the most beautiful places to see in the country. Hop on the South Shore and arrive in Chicago in an hour. The train station is only a fifteen minute drive away! Spend a day in the big city without having to drive and find parking. It’s so easy and convenient. The train lets you off right downtown in the center of the best shopping and dining in the country. Explore the enchanting city of Valparaiso. There are so many unique restaurants and shops in the downtown area. Central Park located downtown Valparaiso has movie nights and concerts all summer long. There is also an outdoor roller rink and ice skating rink. Many of the downtown restaurants and wine bars feature outdoor patio seating and live music. Guests have access to the lake and pier. Guests may also use the pontoon boat in season. The whole home is available for guests as well as long driveway. I meet each guest at check in to give a tour of the property and show guests about the boat. I am always available by phone or text and will reply promptly. The cottage is only fifteen minutes from Indiana Dunes State Park and Lake Michigan. The calumet bike trail is also just a 15 minute drive away. Hop on the south shore train and arrive in downtown Chicago in about an hour. The train station is an easy 15 minute drive north. Downtown Valparaiso and the Central Park plaza area has an abundance of unique restaurants, coffee houses, and shops just ten minutes away from the cottage. Enjoy the country setting of the lake house with the luxury of town just a quick drive away. In the neighborhood there are other lakes and parks to explore including long lake, loomis lake, and spectacle lake. Some nearby neighborhood parks are Rogers Lakewood, coffee creek trails, and sunset hill farms. Most everything is just a quick drive away. The lake house has a long L shaped drive way which can fit around six vehicles.
