Catho Miners Cottage [pet friendly]

This 100+ year old miners cottage has been completely renovated and is complete with modern bathroom and updated kitchen. There is a slow combustion fireplace for winter and all the beds are fitted with electric blankets. The bedrooms have portable fans for summer and heaters for winter. The large yard is securely fenced, with indoor and outdoor dining. It is surrounded by bush with just a short stroll to the beautiful Catherine Hill Bay Beach, of which 90% is dog friendly. The southern end of the beach is patrolled from October to April. Just 1 hour from Hornsby and 5 km from Swansea and Lake Macquarie, it is an ideal getaway to where the bush meets the sea. There are numerous walks and BMX tracks through the surrounding bush, good fishing in both the ocean and Lake Macquarie and great swimming, snorkeling and surfing at the local beaches. Bed linen, bath towels, donnas, and pillows are all provided. Due to health regulations, guests will need to supply their own food, including milk, as we are only able to provide sealed, single use sachets of tea, and coffee (instant and beans for the expresso machine).
