The room has a king size bed, it is bright, has good lighting, and it’s airy. It has its own Cable TV, air conditioning/ heating, Internet service, closet, reading desk and chair, a dresser, and a room-size fridge. There will be extra cleaning fees for reservations of two weeks or more. Roosevelt Island is great for kids, because of the several playgrounds and parks, that provide children with outdoor activities to keep them happy. I also have a young child, therefore, I am children friendly. For adults, near by neighborhood restaurants and cafes, including Starbucks, offer places to have lunch, dinner, coffee or tea. And the tight security, allows for adults to relax by the river, even at night. The Island offers a variety of food stores, including special fresh fruits, vegetables, and home-baked goods, brought in by Amish Farmers, every Saturday(morning until noon). Guests are free to use the kitchen any time. Laundry room is open from 7:30 AM to 7 PM. You do, pay for use of washing/dryer (machines) and you provide your own laundry detergents. I am available to talk, give directions, explain some intricacies of the city, or learn a new recipe. The neighborhood is very safe, due to the 24 hour security service. Its open space, makes it feel like you are in an amusement park. It is airy, fresh, clean, peaceful, and very beautiful. Roosevelt Island is "mini United Nations." The Island boasts of having every nationality, it is a highly inclusive and integrated society, and we all live in peace and harmony with each other. The "F" Train connects Roosevelt Island with the rest of the city, and to the Air-Train to and from JFK. The Tramway, Q102 Bus, and the Ferry services connect the Island to other boroughs. All transportations are about 10 minutes walk from the apartment. Getting around is quite easy, and a lot of fun. We are in the middle of everything, which makes it great to reach all around New York, in no time. Going out at night is safe, some public transportations run 24/7, and some run until early hours of the morning. The tramway stops at about 3:30 AM. You can always pick up Uber, or yellow taxis. Never-ever get into an unmarked car.
