Perfect for groups, Mountain Max's Lodge is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom dwelling in the historic mill town of Erua, 6 km South of National Park and adjacent to the Tongariro National Park. Enjoying a peaceful, rural location about 5 minutes drive from National Park township, Mountain Max's Lodge offers ideal self-contained accommodation for larger groups. Mountain Max's Lodge includes a lounge downstairs with an in-built log fire, plus a sunny upstairs lounge that flows onto decking with views of the Erua rain forest and the North Island Main Trunk railway line. Downstairs, the open plan kitchen and dining area has a potbelly stove with wetback. The 4 bedrooms are situated downstairs. Bedrooms 1 and 3 include 3 single bunk sets, while bedrooms 2 and 4 each have 2 single bunk sets. Downstairs, there are 2 showers, 2 toilets and an automatic washing machine. A drying room is available for wet gear or lock up for storage. This is an excellent group set up for mountain based activities, family reunions and educational or social getaways. Bring your mountain bikes and enjoy easy access to a range of new cycle trails including the Marton Sash and Door tramway and Fishers Track.
