Meaning behind the Tibetan Dragon: Dragons have been part of Tibetan culture for at least 7,000 years. Dragons have long symbolized power, creativity, heaven, and good fortune. They are thought to have authority over bodies of water, rain, floods, and storms. In time, Buddhist artists adopted the dragon as a symbol of enlightenment. Today dragons decorate roofs and gates of temples, both as guardians and to symbolize the dragon's power of clarity. Buddhist dragons often are depicted holding a mani jewel, which represents the Buddha's teaching. • ROOM 2 - The Tibetan Lotus Room - The room comes with a Queen bed, shared bathroom with one room, light breakfast included. - Its a very cozy room. - The floors are hardwood parqueted. - The room is very bright, clean and new. Meaning behind Tibetan Lotus: Lotuses are symbols of purity and 'spontaneous' generation and hence symbolize divine birth. According to the Lalitavistara, 'the spirit of the best of men is spotless, like the new lotus in the muddy water which does not adhere to it', and, according to esoteric Buddhism, the heart of the beings is like an unopened lotus: when the virtues of the Buddha develop therein the lotus blossoms. This is why the Buddha sits on a lotus in bloom. - Red lotus symbolizes the original nature of the heart. It is the lotus of love, compassion, passion, activity and all the qualities of the heart. - Blue lotus is the symbol of the victory of the spirit over the senses, of intelligence and wisdom, of knowledge. • ROOM 3 - The Harmonious Friends Room - Twin Room - The room comes with two single beds, shared bathroom with one room, light breakfast provided everyday. - The room has a panoramic view of the hills, plenty of space and natural light. - The floors are hardwood parqueted. - The room is very bright, clean and new. The meaning behind the Harmonious Friends Theme : The 4 Harmonious Friends is often painted to adorn thangkas, door curtains, tables, vessels and walls of Buddhist temples and homes. It is believed that wherever this picture is displayed, the wholesome deeds of its beholders and the harmony among them will increase, making much auspiciousness available. There will be no discord or separation between family and friends too, as the picture is a powerful reminder of how we should stay together to help one another. As we all have varying strengths and weaknesses, we can complement one another to accomplish that which we could never achieve alone.
