The Nan-Cess-O-Wee log cabin is one of Hovey’s Bear Trap’s 11 log cabins built in the 1920’s. All the cabins have been remodeled through the years retaining their old northwoods charm mixing in new furniture and amenities while retaining the cabins unique northwoods feel. Nan-Cess-O-Wee is a one room cabin with a full sized bed, full kitchen and cozy living room area. It’s the perfect cabin for a romantic getaway. Hovey’s convenient location offers quick access to everything the area has to offer. In the winter enjoy snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing and ice fishing. In the summer, hiking, ATVing, golfing, swimming, beaching, fishing and kayaking/canoeing make for great entertainment. Our large parking lot has enough room to park your snowmobile, ATV and boat trailers. The boat launch is just down the street and our on-site dock is available for you to park your boat. Snowmobile trail access is less than one mile from Hovey’s. The cabin is yours to enjoy during your stay. There’s plenty of room here to do what you like. Make memories; do things your way. Most of our guests are repeat guests… Come and find out why! Other Things to Note: Nan-Cess-O-Wee shares the dock, sandy beach and firepit areas with the rest of Hovey’s cabins. We supply all the linens and towels. Each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen stocked with fresh coffee beans, grinder and coffee pot. We supply firewood for the lakeside fire pit. A charcoal grill is available for use at each cabin, but you are responsible for the charcoal and lighter fluid. Hovey’s Bear Trap is located in Michigan’s scenic Upper Peninsula on beautiful Indian Lake. Manistique is just a short (7 minute) drive from Hovey’s where you can find all the conveniences of town including groceries, restaurants and shopping.
