New as our rental, the Penthouse is located in the center of the Mendocino Village atop the iconic Seagull building featuring twenty foot high window, affording three hundred degree ever changing views from sunrise to sunset of the historic village, mountain & Mendocino bay with private off street parking. Access Big River Beach, Mendocino Headlands State Park, all the unique shops and restaurants in the village without ever getting into your car. The space In the heart of the village! This open concept penthouse features a 1100 square foot Great Room with twenty foot high exposed beam ceilings, featuring the largest window in the village making it the perfect place to relax and take it all in. Fine art and decorative arts from the owners private collections are featured throughout. The entire apartment can be flooded with your own music playing over the state of the art audio system, equipped for cds, vinyl and an IPod player, while you enjoy the warmth and ambiance of the fireplace. The furniture in the master sleeping area was hand-built of wenge and mahogany hardwoods and was once featured in the owners’ art gallery. The same is true of the entry table, coffee table and end table in the living area. Other works of art come from as far afield as Oregon, Massachusetts, Hawaii, California, Colorado, New York, England, Fiji, the Philippines, Zululand, Lesotho, and Botswana. The open kitchen is very modern and brand new, like everything else in the place. It comes equipped for cooking almost everything, including Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. A truly huge 150 square foot light and bright en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower adjoins the main sleeping area.
