The church has cruciform architecture and two narthex in front of the church, at right angles to the main axis. It has a high dome in the centre of the cross and blind arches at the sides of the church. The narthex makes it resemble a three-aisled church. On the outside the church has blind arches and brick decorations. There is also an old grave inside and some frescoes remain. Margarites village is about 5 minutes drive and famous with handmade pottery; the village, which has some extraordinary architecture and lovely narrow winding streets, is well worth exploring.
