Berwick, 6 miles, has lots of interest, from walks along the Elizabethan quay walls and museums including the Barracks and the Main Guard, to galleries, cafés, restaurants and bars. Visit some of the great houses at Paxton, Manderson and Floors, or explore Alnwick and Bamburgh castles. Also worth a visit are Seahouses and the famous Farne Islands.
