(Note: This is the first time we opened our Airbnb since the pandemic hit. Therefore, the reviews are a year old.) Art and nature are everywhere, inside and out. Our place just North of Asheville is in an entirely private and wooded setting. We are 6 miles from Asheville, well known for its art, beer, culture, outdoor playgrounds, and excellent restaurants. Mountain Tea is a quiet respite from busy days of doing and seeing in the Asheville area. Outdoor shower with a rainfall showerhead! The space We are 15 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and a quarter mile from the French Broad River. A favorite of kayakers and tuber. An accessible spot to put in is Ledges Whitewater Park about a mile from us. My husband, Mark and I are visual artists. Included in the center of our long-planned dream studio is a private guest area that has a gallery/living room area, dining table, kitchenette, private bedroom w/ queen size bed, and a full bathroom with footed tub. The setting is tranquil and private. Suitable for couples, business travelers, and adventurers. You will have a private secure entrance to your space which opens to an extended 96' tree-top deck and seating area. Guest access You will need a car to get around. Our dirt driveway is short but steep and winding. A four-wheel drive vehicle is required, but we have a work-around. Slow and steady will get you there. There is a parking spot at the bottom of the driveway and we have a loaner car to get you up and down. We are also happy to pick you up. You will be staying in three private rooms - the gallery/living room/kitchenette, a separate bedroom, a full bathroom with footed tub and an expansive deck. The living room area opens to a tree level deck with chairs. Parking is available right next to the studio. The living room has a coffee maker, elec tea kettle, microwave, toaster, and a compact refrigerator with freezer. Plates and utensils are provided, along with coffee and tea. There is a small library of books along with a selection of board games.
