Families and Pets- Broadford at Tara Bay

A holiday home suitable for up to 2 families. Broadford at Tara Bay can cater for up to 9 guests with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. This property features a north facing deck with stunning views over the bay. This easy to get to property (either by road or boat from Havelock) is over looking the Kenepuru Sound. Close to Portage and Te Mahia Resorts and the Queen Charlotte Track. Drive directly to the door- sheltered, easy unpacking with plenty of room for parking vehicles. The easy sealed road from Nelson or Blenheim is approximately 1 ½ hours travel from either. The place is well fitted out with electrical appliances, including an oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, washing machine and drier. There is also a barbecue on the deck available for use. Full Vodafone and Spark cell phone coverage- no wifi. Duvets and pillows are provided and there is a mattress protector on each of the beds, although guests do need to bring their own sheets and towels. Activities: This location is ideal for swimming, snapper fishing, water sports, or simply lying on the sunny and sheltered north facing beach. The Queen Charlotte Track offers access to many other bays and there are several shorter walks off the main track. The Te Mahia to Anakiwa section is open to mountain biking year round. Fishing can be experienced from the rocks or floating wharf. The boat mooring accommodates boats up to 11m and up to 3 tonne. There are 2 kayaks, a dinghy, life jackets, and boogy boards available A television plus a DVD player is available plus a range of board games and books. Portage Hotel, just 15 minutes drive away has a bar and restaurant and boat ramp, Te Mahia- 10 minutes drive is a great place for coffee. NOTE Under kiwi bach tradition you are expected to clean all areas and do the dishes before you leave and bring your own linen.
