Historic St.Mary's City at the Lazy Bear Cottage

Inquire first on pets, there is a 50 lb. weight limit total, can be split up between 2 small dogs or 1 at 50lbs or less,must be house broken and friendly. Close to Saint Mary's historic city, Pt. Lookout State Park, Sotterley Plantation. Great hiking trails, restored colonial village,a replica of the Maryland Dove. Tour a lighthouse. Great restaurants , or spend a day over in Solomons Island, about 20 miles from us. Peaceful settings for relaxing right on the water,or kayak on the river. The space Our kayak is a tandem and we will provide life jackets. Life jackets are in the closet. If you want to disconnect from everything, this is the place to be. You are literally sitting right in front of the river when you are sitting on the porch or deck. House manual is located inside the cottage, take time to read, full of site seeing and restaurants, 3 within 5 miles radius. Solomon's is about 25 miles north of us. Other things to note Welcome to the Lazy Bear,where you relax by the water with your cup of coffee in the early morning hours,listening to nature and watching the wildlife of herons,ducks,and geese, on your private porch or your own private deck. Grab the chairs provided that are hanging off the porch and sit down on the head pier and swim,fish or just watch a beautiful sunset. A duracraft radiator heater is provided when needed. Air conditioner and ceiling fan. Laundry is provided if needed. This is a smoke-free home,as I'm allergic. But you can smoke either on the head pier or the deck provided next to the cottage, no smoking allowed on the porch for the sake of other guests . Let us know if you're celebrating a special day . Yoga mats are provided if needed . Calvert Cliffs are about 20-25 miles from us, with excellent hiking trails. We also have great trails near the college and at Saint Mary's River Park . Once in a blue moon, we have helicopters fly over from the base in town. We are in Farm country, so you might hear a goat once in awhile.
