This is a real hobby farm, not a petting zoo. Animals come and go depending on the season, fencing, and farm projects. Some stays may include horses or cattle in the pasture, while other times the property may only have the resident dogs, cats, and local wildlife. Rural life changes with the seasons, and that’s part of the charm of staying here. Guest access HD Roku TV in the in room room. Wireless internet, keypad entry to house. Guests have access to entire house...cook meals in the kitchen, watch TV in the living room etc. During your stay I can show you around the area if I'm not working....or do your own thing. I can be as involved as you want Other things to note Welcome to the Hobby Farm – A Few Things to Know Staying on a farm is a little different than staying at a hotel downtown. Most guests love it — but we like to give everyone a quick heads-up about the realities of country life so there are no surprises. 1. The Dogs Work Here Our dogs take their security jobs very seriously. They may greet you, follow you around the property, or supervise your activities. They are friendly and part of the farm family. Occasionally they may proudly deliver “findings” from their wildlife patrol. Yes, sometimes this includes things like sticks, bones… or the occasional deer-related situation. This is normal farm behavior. 2. Wildlife Exists You may see deer, turkeys, coyotes, raccoons, rabbits, and other critters around the property. This is one of the perks of staying out in the country — but remember, this is their neighborhood too. 3. Country Sounds Are Real At night you may hear: - coyotes singing - frogs - owls - wind through the trees - farm animals doing their thing Think of it as nature’s white noise. 4. Farm Fashion Is Casual You may see the host wandering around in boots, braids, or possibly extremely questionable Walmart pants. Farm couture is not regulated here. 5. Mud Happens Depending on weather and season, the property may include mud, snow, dust, leaves, sticks, and general outdoor chaos. If you came for a perfectly manicured lawn… you may be slightly disappointed. If you came for fresh air and nature, you’ll be very happy. 6. Relax — That’s the Whole Point Most people come here to unplug, breathe, and experience a little slice of country life. Slow down, enjoy the quiet, and don’t worry if things feel a little less polished than a city hotel. That’s part of the charm. Welcome to the farm.
