The space This charming 1940s duplex, located in the historic Duke University neighborhood, offers the perfect blend of vintage charm and modern comfort. Recently updated, the two-bedroom home boasts an updated interior while preserving its historic appeal. Bathroom: The bathroom boasts a luxurious highlight - a spacious rain head shower with an exposed pipe design, controlled by a thermostatic mixing valve. With high water output and a tankless water heater, everyone can indulge in endless hot showers or baths without any interruption. To further enhance the experience, eco-friendly earth safe soaps are provided for guests. Kitchen: Cook up a storm in our fully equipped kitchen, complete with an electric range and all the essential cookware. Savor a delicious home-cooked meal and start your day right with a freshly brewed cup of coffee from Little Waves Coffee, made using the Ninja Coffee Bar. Or, unwind with a relaxing cup of tea from the electric water kettle a Ninja Coffee Bar or relax with tea using the electric water kettle. Location Take advantage of our home's ideal location, situated between East and West campus at Duke University and accessible to both Duke and city transit. A short 1-mile walk from downtown and a quick 10-minute stroll from 9th street means you can park your car in the driveway and explore Durham and Duke University on foot. TV: The house is equipped with a Roku TV. We provide Netflix and Hulu. We have all the premium Hulu channels (Live, HBO, Showtime) so this is the best service to use. Guest access We have super easy check-in; guests receive a unique easy to remember code that will open the door using a touchpad. Space is yours to use as you would your own home. Other things to note Hot Water: The tankless water heater may take some time to provide hot water to the apartment, just keep the water running until hot water reaches the fixture. Noise: There is a party wall, and the neighbors can hear you just as you can hear them. We ask that guests remain cognizant of noise, but also understanding of families with children. If you ever feel the noise is disturbing, please do let us know and we will reach out to the guests in the adjacent apartment.
