Dog-friendly home built in 2010 on a peaceful and remote location that overlooks Norris Lake (just 35 minutes north of Knoxville), with a view to the Cumberland Mountains. Sleeps 5 who are seeking peace, quiet, and tranquility. A wonderful addition we made recently was a dock, which remains in the water from sometime in March until early October. The space The home was designed to be low maintenance, so it has Trex decking on the outside and colored concrete floors on the inside (making it very easy to sweep and clean). There is full heat-and-air, but there are also powerful ceiling fans in every room - minimizing the need for either. Two bedrooms (the Master with a King bed, and the other with a queen); two bathrooms (with 42" showers); full kitchen with all necessary cooking accessories; screened-in-porch; long deck; attached dog-run with door pass-throughs (sorry, no cats permitted); WiFi; and a 43" flat-screen TV with Netflix installed. Guest access You have full access to the entire space during your stay. The ground immediately in front of the house remains wild, but there is a path that leads directly to the water (and we've just cleared a section right before the water and equipped it with 4 chairs, picnic table, a dock and a kayak!). The shoreline is rocky, so water shoes are helpful. We also have several "noodles" (along with a couple of inflatable tubes) for your enjoyment - to aid in floating in the lake. Other things to note When the TVA began in the 1930's, the engineers mapped-out where they believed the loveliest spot in the whole system would be once all the dams were built, and they built the cabins to house themselves there - and this home is on that same street. Which means it's a little remote - and cell service doesn't make it all the way to the house (so we highly recommend connecting to WiFi Calling on your cell phones - once you've arrived). Also, the roads are curvy, so it's recommended that you initially arrive in daylight hours (until you're more familiar with the area), as there are no streetlights nearby. *NO PARTIES/EVENTS AND NO LOUD LARGE GROUP GATHERINGS EVER. *QUIET HOURS are 11pm to 7am
