The cottage is located in a remarkable site, on the edge of a stream, the property consists of 2 houses: -the cottage, from the 18th century with stones, exposed beams, floor tiles, bread oven. - the Forge d'Ans mill, our residence, overlooks one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Dordogne. Cars are parked inside the fenced property. The 8-meter by 4-meter salt pool is located on the highest point of the property, with stunning views of the falls and river. The space The cottage has a capacity of 10 people, in order to leave the choice to families, linens are optional. The property is located in Périgord Noir, close to Périgord Vert and Périgord Blanc, a half-hour drive from the Lascaux Caves, in Montignac. A 10-minute drive away, you can see the caves of Tourtoirac "the geological pearl of the Périgord"; a quarter of an hour away is the magnificent Renaissance castle of Hautefort. 20 minutes from the suburbs of Périgueux, you will find a large shopping area with drive-through and many shops. You can go canoeing and take superb walks nearby or a half-hour drive to the beautiful gorges of the Auvezère. Many other sights can enhance your stay. Not to mention great Périgord cuisine. The gite is located close to our house but is not on the same side. Even if your outdoor dining area/pool overlooks the waterfall, the entrance to the cottage is on the opposite side. The pool and garden are just for you. The property is fenced with electric gate, 3 to 4 cars can park on a reserved space. An island between the head race and the stream offers an appreciable space during high heat. You have a number of spaces in the garden and a covered loggia allows you to be sheltered from the humidity in the evening. A small corner of the garden attached to the cottage and the loggia is also fenced within the property itself. This place isn't suitable for parties.
