Another walk from the front door takes you through the woods to Thomas Hardy’s cottage at Higher Bockhampton. The lake and gardens of Kingston Maurward are on the doorstep, and golf and fishing are available nearby. There is so much to do in this beautiful part of Dorset. Have a day out on the spectacular Jurassic Coast, enjoying magnificent clifftop views from the South Coast path and take in Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, or evocative Tyneham village.
