Guest access Those seeking more activities can find some great shops in the quaint (and incredibly dog-friendly) Idyllwild village, a short 3.5 miles drive. We can’t say enough about this little town that I love…take your bikes (or rent them in town) and enjoy the trails, have a glass of wine and listen to some terrific music at Middle Ridge Winery, stop by the ice cream shop, enjoy incredible Italian food at Ferro's or brunch at Café Aroma. We have a wilderness pass for your use during your stay and a selection of family board games that we are happy to share with you. Other things to note One thing to note for wintertime guests, the road is narrow and has a short steep section, driveway is not made with low cars in mind. With more than a few inches of snow on the road, I recommend patience for the plow and a 4-wheel drive car, and carry chains if you do not have mud and snow tires.
