2-bedroom single-family home on 1/2 acre in beautiful Kerhonkson, NY, minutes from Minnewaska State Park and the Mohonk Preserve. Lovely woodland views in a peaceful neighborhood. Outdoor deck and large patio with fire pit and gas grill. Ulster County levies a 4% tax on overnight stays. Airbnb collects this tax. The space The house is fully renovated with 2 bedrooms, a fully modern eat-in kitchen, 1 bath and a dining room, cable TV and a piano. My friend Edward calls my house a "Mottage," a modern cottage, which i thought was sweetly accurate. The house is flooded with light, though it stays cool in the Summer months and is nice and cozy in the Winter. I love the deck in back, which has wooded and mountain views with ample opportunity for bird-watchers! A staircase leads from the deck down to a 400-square-foot stone patio with a fire pit. The house sits on a half acre, but it seems much more because of the woods and the mountain view, which seem to go on forever. If you like quiet, you will love this house! However, what is really great is that you can walk down the hill and in less than 10 minutes, you will find the Kerhonkson Diner (a Must), a pizza parlor, supermarket, pharmacy, post office etc + the bus that takes you to and from Port Authority in New York City. if you're a nature lover, this is the place for you! Less than a 10 min drive is Minnewaska State Park, & Mohonk Preserve. You will have no shortage of wonderful hikes and lakes and swimming holes to discover in Summer months. Cross-country skiing is really terrific here, too! And there are rail trails, even one that is walking/biking distance from the house. The farm stands are fabulous and there are several near the house including Outpost BBQ, Kelder's Farm and Saunderskill Farms ...all wonderful and unique!!! Come find why i love my darling Mottage!!!
