Our cottage is ideal for 2 families! It is a 17th century Normandy farmhouse, completely renovated. 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (showers, 3 powder rooms). Apple trees, sheep, close to the forest... Respect for authenticity and concern for the environment make it a particularly warm and comfortable home. THE CABIN and its suspension bridge in the old chestnut trees are again accessible from the owner's land... (small children must be accompanied by an "adult"). The space Capacity: 7 people (+ 1, or 2 people in extra beds, with, beyond 7 people, a supplement of €18 per person per night). There is no Wi-Fi in the cottage (only by approaching our house, which is 100 m from the cottage). We get 4G ;-) Please note the following non-negotiable clause: we cannot accommodate pets, thank you for your understanding. Upstairs layout: 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (showers, toilet, sink), distributed as follows: from the landing room serving as a small living room (in the center): on the left, 2 connecting bedrooms and bathroom (shower-washbasin-toilet); on the right: 2 connecting bedrooms and bathroom (shower-sink-toilet). On the ground floor: a fully equipped, spacious and bright kitchen, a dining room with a large rustic table, a stove (pellet), and a living room side; In the center of the house: a small entrance-living room from which the oak staircase starts. In the extension of this room: another room serving as a games room, (with Bonzini foosball, restrooms, and at the back, a laundry area and service entrance. All these living rooms open onto a green space to explore! Children (under the supervision of "grown-ups") will discover the tree house at the top of the old chestnut trees... or can come and say hello to our few chickens and ducks and even bring them leftovers or dry bread! Here, we live to the rhythm of the seasons, each with their own charm! You will particularly appreciate the calm of this countryside in the heart of a 2 hectare property, located 45 minutes from the Normandy coast (Honfleur, Deauville, Trouville) Nearby: Brionne, Bernay, Bec Hellouin Abbey, Pont-Audemer... Cerza, Hermival-les-Vaux Zoo, is 40 minutes away. Guest access The cottage is entirely at your disposal, as well as part of the surrounding meadow, and the cabin, the garage behind the cottage and the ping pong table too :-) Other things to note "La Longère" Gîte Practical information GENERAL INFORMATION of the cottage "la Longère": Kitchen: A “kitchen base” (salt, spices, vinegar oil, etc.) is available for your use; The Bodum coffee maker should be handled with care; do not put it in the dishwasher. Trash: Under the kitchen sink, the trash can is for household waste. The bag from this trash can should be thrown into the large bin outside (green lid). Near the kitchen door is the recycling bin, which should be emptied outside in the trash can (yellow lid). And the black trash can outside is for glasses (bottles). – Turn on the hood when cooking, to neutralize grease and odors! Heating: The main heating is provided by the pellet stove. In cold weather, it can heat up continuous. • Do NOT press “menu” that changes the entire process. • To increase or decrease the temperature: press + or - • To turn it off: lower the thermostat to 10, for example, using the – button. • Make sure the water level in the tank does not drop below ¼ of the tank's capacity (fill the tank with pellets from the wooden box or from the storage room). • During the cooler season, the owner will come by every 2 days to empty the ashes, clean the glass pane, and check that everything is in order (at a time agreed upon with you). The bedrooms, bathrooms and game room have electric radiators. To change the temperature, press + or -. Caution: never cover a radiator (to dry something for example) Hot water: Hot water is produced by a 300l electric balloon. If all the water is used, it takes a few hours to wait to get it again. Keep this in mind for showers if there are a lot of you! The hot water in the kitchen comes from a 15 l tank. Request: in rainy weather, do not go upstairs with shoes:-) thank you! W-C: for the proper functioning of our self-contained sanitation system, do not discard In the toilet… only toilet paper and absolutely nothing else. Washing machine: the washing machine is available for your use. Linens: If you need other hand towels, you can find them in the house (next to the foosball table). But please don't take them to the beach! Safety: We ask that you do not smoke inside the house and do not light candles upstairs. Please be aware that a large part of the house is built of wood: we are counting on your vigilance. Cleaning/Maintenance: Never use abrasive or green sponge or iron straw on stainless steel parts. Television: the TV upstairs requires the use of a TNT decoder, so it is necessary Turn on the digital box (1) and the screen (2) using the 2 remote controls. The set-top box remote control (1) is then used to change channels. Wi-Fi: no connection in the cottage (possible to pick up a weak connection by approaching our house) Cellar: The cellar is an unheated room used to store wood pellets, garden accessories (umbrellas, etc.), and your bulky supplies (drinks, etc.). Barbecue: A small barbecue is available for your use. Market days: – in Brionne: Thursday and Sunday mornings – in Bernay: Wednesday and Saturday mornings – Neubourg: Wednesday morning (in summer, poultry market) Supermarkets: Carrefour and Intermarché in Brionne Lidl, MaxiViande, Leclerc in Menneval (at the entrance to Bernay) Emergencies: If you have an urgent problem (water leak, etc.), heating, etc.), feel free to come and see us! or call us. On the day of departure: A quick inventory will be carried out at a time agreed with you; please leave the keys hanging to the right of the front door and let us know of any damage or issues. Please remove all used sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers, and bath towels and pile them on the floor next to the washing machine. Your breakfast dishes need to be washed and put away, and the tables need to be cleaned. If you used the oven during your stay, it must be cleaned before you check out. ...and the BBQ grill too!
