Lovely Rustic Cabin in the Upper Valley of VT & NH
You’ll love this rustic cabin nestled in a beautiful river valley in the hills of Vermont. In the warmer months you are minutes away from two rivers to swim in, a great organic farm with a cafe, and lovely walks with valley views all around you. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Should you visit us in the fall expect orange & red leaves falling all around you, the sound of pine leaves whispering in the wind, and crisp, cool days and nights. In warm weather with your windows open you will fall asleep enjoying the smell of our sweet air and the sound of birds and crickets. Our cabin is well insulated and has heat as needed via a heat pump system with propane back-up. There is a covered deck where you can sit and enjoy the outdoors even in the rain. All except a loft space reserved for our storage only. We are always happy to answer questions our guests have about our area. We are located in an area called the Upper Valley that runs along the Connecticut River, that separates Vermont from New Hampshire, just 15 minutes from Dartmouth College with it's libraries, fine music, theater, dance and films. If you like hiking we are within a gorgeous drive to the Green Mountains of VT and the White mountains of NH. There are also many good restaurants within a short drive that we'd be happy to recommend. It is within easy access from Montreal, Boston, & NYC via interstate highways (I 89 & I 91) yet is is in a beautiful rural area where you can escape the noise and pace of urban life. A car is necessary. There is no public transportation available other than local taxi's. HI Speed Wifi (Star Link) access is available to our guests to facilitate your access to the outside world. Our cabin is very comfortable but "rustic" so please don't expect a dishwasher, washing machine or dryer. Although the cabin has hot and cold running water, it comes from a well and thus needs to be used with this in mind. To ensure your stay is the best it can be we ask you conserve water as best you can while with us. (We'd be happy to make recommendations or answer any questions you have about this.) Our cabin is not setup or safe for children.
