Description

Cozy, quiet, artistically appointed basement apartment in great NE Portland location. Separate entrance. Parking available on street in front of house. Fully furnished and on the bike route. 2 vintage bikes available for your use free of charge. Located on a quiet street within walking distance of Alberta Street, N. Williams and Mississippi Ave. I personally clean my apartment for each guest. In light of recent events, I'm being extra meticulous for the comfort and well-being of my guests. The space Cozy, quiet, artistically appointed basement apartment in great NE Portland location. Fully furnished with a comfortable queen sized bed. I am located on the bike route. Located on a quiet street within walking distance to the trendy neighborhoods of Alberta Arts and the Mississippi Corridor. The up and coming North Williams Avenue is 3 blocks away. Near the bus line. A relaxing retreat from the excitement of Portland. Funky, clean, uncluttered, private apartment. 500 square feet, interestingly laid out dwelling. Two large spaces include the kitchen/dinging room/ media or writing desk. Bathroom has a shower, toilet grotto with reclaimed fir magazine caddie and shelf that holds rocks collected on Cape Cod. The back area consists of a 12’x24' open room with bedroom and living room with another desk for writing, media or thinking. There is a comfy queen bed. Private hang out area with chairs and table is just outside entry. The neighborhood is really great. I have lived here for almost 20 years and have witnessed this place change and flux with the times. While the gentrification has been great for families, businesses (and property values), I am glad that my street has maintained a sense of community and diversity that makes me glad to be a human. It is located between Alberta Arts and the Mississippi Corridor (a ten minute walk in either direction.) These are two very hot and fun areas for eating, drinking, shopping or people watching. There is a seasonal local farmer's market every Sunday just 3 blocks away. My street is also on a bike route. Portland has a vibrant bicycle culture and has mapped out routes that take you safely all over the city. I will have two basic bikes for use free of charge at your own risk. The #6 bus line is at the end of the street and the house is close to I-5. There is parking in front of the house. The apartment has a private entrance with a driveway patio hang out area. It is a basement apartment and is quiet, clean, artsy, esoteric. I created it a year ago and lived here for a year before Air BnB. I found it to be a nice calming space. Most of the woodwork is reclaimed material. All windows are new and insulated. The lighting is an eclectic collection of random coolness that my friend (and professional lighting designer) threw together for me. The place turned out to be a perfect manifestation of my vision. A unique and comforting abode, which I hope you will enjoy visiting. I do not allow pets. I have a small dog, Pico. He stays with me half the week and is pretty mellow. He does bark on occasion but I try to curb that. I have enjoyed living in this neighborhood and house. There is much to be explored within walking and biking distance, as well as easy access to the routes that take you off to see the splendors of this amazing part of the country. Guest access Separate entrance, hangout area, two vintage bikes with accoutrement, hairdryer, iron, cooking apparatus, fake fire place log with "real wood crackle" sound, my book collection (please leave on premises). Other things to note The fireplace is temperamental, so I have put in a fake log which lights up and can make crackle sounds. Cheesy goodness Registration Details 16-180113-000-00-HO
