Originally built in 1927 this charming farm cottage sets on 10 acres of private lush green landscaping adjacent to the shade of a small pecan orchard. Enjoy the outdoors on the hillside deck complete with outdoor rumble stone fire pit and arbor nearby. You can enjoy a piece of the country all located within minutes to Historic Downtown Vicksburg, the National Military Park and the Mississippi River. They say location is everything - well that describes us pretty well. Enjoy your stay! The space Enjoy the surrounding area or just relax and spend time on the deck. There is no internet available on the property - we want our guest to step back in time and enjoy the peace and quiet of the property and how life once was without the clutter. Note, Cell phone reception is great for this location. Guest access Full use of the entire cottage and the adjacent property for the booked guest. Other things to note We want you to enjoy your stay so please feel right at home. As you know this is an older home so please be gentle. Regarding central air conditioner; please leave on auto and do not move switches. You can control the temperature to your satisfaction by adjusting the thermostat lever - higher or lower. Regarding the bathroom bathtub, please do not fill water level past the 1/2 mark. This will avoid any water overflow onto the floor and prevent slipping on wet floor and or water damage to the bathroom floor. Regarding laundry service for guest that have booked an extended stay. We will provide you with nice quality clean linens and bedding (sheets, Pillow cases, ect.). If you would like them laundered during mid week, we do provide laundry service for a nominal charge.
