You will stay in the rooms of an ancient palace from the 1600s built by a branch of the noble Florentine family of Soderini. In 1644, Pope Urban VIII, after Bernini had completed the Triton Fountain, wanted the Maestro to design a public fountain, the Fountain of the Bees, placing it near the Soderini palace on the corner with Via Felice, now Via Sistina, where it remained until 1867. Today it is located at the beginning of Via Veneto, relocated in 1925. In the following years, famous people stayed within these walls, such as the great American writer Margaret Fuller, a dear friend of Giuseppe Mazzini, who is said to have been his guest during the Roman Republic of 1849, of which he was a part. In those years, in addition to the people mentioned, it was the residence of many artists and writers visiting Rome, including Charles Dickens, who wrote some impressions in his diaries from which “Impressions of Italy” was taken. You will be fascinated and it will certainly be an unforgettable holiday. Registration Details IT058091C2DWJ4GQ6G
