Nest yourself up on a perch overlooking beautiful Stowe, VT in this classic A-Frame ski chalet that is sure to highlight your time in Vermont. Wake up to expansive views of Mount Mansfield and the valley below. Close to skiing and surrounded by amazing hiking, biking swimming, exploring, shopping and dining. The home is 1.3 miles to Stowe Village & 1/2 mile to a grocery store. With a hot tub, sauna, fire pit, and gorgeous view your vacation truly begins in this home. The space The Lower Birdhouse is a classic 1965 A-frame ski chalet with vaulted ceilings in the main living room, a secondary rec room in the basement and fun, comfortable furniture to compliment the era and vibe of the house. Guest access On site parking. Other things to note Note that we live in the upper A-Frame although we sometimes rent it and are often traveling ourselves. We are often nearby to help if needed but will not interact unless prompted. We do have a 9 year old daughter and she and her local cousins will sometimes be running around the property or in the nearby woods. Please note that the NEW hot tub is shared between the Upper Birdhouse and Lower Birdhouse. As a result, there is a chance that it could be temporarily occupied when you look to use it. There are only two houses sharing it, so this ought not be a frequent issue...we just want to make sure we're entirely transparent so nobody is disappointed. It should be noted that the interior of the home is connected only by spiral staircases. They are efficient for space, but not necessarily for large bags / gear. We have found that back packs are the easiest to maneuver with ease.
