Description
Historical home in Hastings Village built in 1880, restored and kept its original character throughout. The house was once the rectory for the Anglican Church. In 1986 the former child of the minister who lived in the home in the early 1900's wrote a book of short stories, called The Church Mouse, describing her time at the rectory. Come and discover all the wonderful places that make up Trent Hills (visittrenthills.ca). Plan an escape for the entire family or a simple romantic getaway. The space All original wood floor and trims, high ceilings with beautiful crown mouldings. New Bathrooms and Kitchen The Bedrooms are very cosy and comfortable. There is also a sitting room on the second floor. The main floor is very spacious and we have a very large CD collection to cuddle up on the couch and enjoy . We have no Cable, but free Wifi is available. There is a fire pit and a lovely patio to enjoy! Guest access Our guests have access to the whole house, with the exception of the other guest bedrooms. Fire pit in the back. During your stay We will be around during your stay, but I assure you the house is large enough that you will have lots of space. Enzo and I will be available for any of your needs or concerns and or perhaps just to talk. We are both fully Vaccinated for COVID 19. Occasionally we will have both rooms booked. Other things to note We are a five minute walk from Lock 18 and the Village of Hastings. Lots of restaurants in town to choose from and there is a Valumart.
