This lovely 5 bedroom cottage is located on the shore of Lake Michigan, 5 minutes from the charming town of Pentwater. The cottage has a private beach, 2 decks, and a sun porch, so there's a spot for everyone to relax. The highlight of the cottage is the large deck that extends out over the dunes with unobstructed views of Lake Michigan. It's a perfect place for alfresco dining, sunsets, and stargazing. It's truly a special place for a family getaway. The cottage has high quality beds, a lovely outdoor shower, two extra refrigerators in the basement, beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas, beach toys and board games. Bed linens and bath towels are provided, but you need to bring your own beach towels. There's also a dispenser with filtered drinking water. Please note, while the cottage sleeps 10, four beds are bunks and are only appropriate for younger children, probably ok for 12 yrs and younger. There are also many stairs from the parking area to the cottage and from the cottage to beach which is not good for anyone with mobility issues. Lastly, there is limited parking at the cottage. There's only room for 4 vehicles and there's no overflow parking area. Let me know if you have any questions! If sitting on the beach and reading a book isn't enough for you, there are lots of other activities. Visit a scenic lighthouse, get your zen on with beach yoga or Stand Up Paddle Board yoga, pick up some speed on dune buggies, go carts or tubing in nearby Silver Lake, charter a boat for fishing on beautiful Lake Michigan, kayak the local river... there's something for everyone. During the peak season in July & August, we typically rent from Saturday to Saturday. In June & September, 3-night rentals are available.
