Relax in the cosy bespoke "nook" bedroom after exploring Hobart, MONA, Salamanca, Richmond, Wineries, or Port Arthur. The Guest Suite, the self contained end of a large house, is on a hobby farm in Sandford just 25-30 mins from Hobart and 15-20 mins from the airport. Our stunning ranch-style home is close to walking trails, and 5 minutes drive from swimming spots and Hobart's best surfing beaches. The space If you are looking for a comfortable spot for a short stay that is in easy reach of the city, yet feels like you are a million miles away, then the Guest Suite at Germain Court is your place. Set on a 5 acre property in Sandford this self-contained guest suite is attached to a striking and contemporary "ranch-style" house but is totally separate with its own private entrance. From the guest suite there is a view of Kunanyi, Mount Wellington. The Guest Suite has a comfortable private living area with a private bathroom and a cosy "nook style" bedroom with a Queen bed and Sealy Classic Collection Posturepedic mattress. There is a small "mini" fridge, a microwave and a toaster. However, please note that there is no kitchen making the guest suite unsuitable for longer stays unless you wish to take a complete break and eat out or have takeaways. Basic breakfast essentials are provided for your first night, and there is a cafeteria for making coffee and a teapot with a variety of herbal teas. There is access to an outdoor barbecue on request. Plates, bowls, mugs, glasses, and cutlery are provided (including on request a complementary daily washing up and replacement service). Easy access to the the laundry facilities in the main house is available free of charge if required - just ask. We provide a clothes rack to dry your clothes. (If you prefer, you are welcome to use our front load dryer for which there is a charge $5 per load.) There is a 37" flat screen TV enabled for media streaming services through chrome-cast with free Netflix which you can stream through your own device or the one provided. Please note the house does not have an aerial or dish and so cannot play any free to air channels. There is also a stereo/sound system through which the TV plays. The sounds system can also play CD's and has Bluetooth to connect with your music streaming service. As we are in a rural location, the house is on tank water. There is a UV filtration system on all water entering the house. Guests benefit from the pure taste of freshly collected rainwater water and the safety of a UV water purifier. All windows have insect screens allowing guests to enjoy the fresh air without admitting unwanted insects into the room. Ideal for couples and solo adventures, we can sometimes accommodate a third person with a single bed mattress in the lounge room on request and for a small fee. We are just 25 minutes from the city of Hobart and 20 minutes from the airport. We have a small flock of sheep, 12 hens and 2 roosters. Guests are welcome to visit our chickens and feed the sheep over the sheep paddock fence if they wish. Guest access Guests have full private use of the guest suite. There is also a wooden deck area in front of the guest wing. Guests are welcome to wander around the garden and have free range of all "un-gated" areas.
