30 acre vegan farm with remodeled guest house! Minutes from town yet totally private. This eco-retreat is located at Peacefield where we rescue and rehabilitate farm animals - the space helps support the mission! We incorporated our favorite things: Peloton bike, treadmill, rower, Finnish sauna, bedside chargers, open floor plan, 5 star mattresses, yoga deck, appleTV, loaded kitchen, coffee/tea, vitamix, gym, Tesla charger, outdoor shower, solar power and more! It's a sanctuary for humans too :) The guest house is 1,000 sq ft and its open floor plan makes it feel even bigger! Not to mention all the outdoor space. There is a covered lanai and large private sundeck for dining, yoga, relaxing and sunbathing! Inside you'll find butcher block countertops, a marble island, Room&Board furniture, and thoughtful touches that make it a real gem. You're welcome to explore the farm, eat anything that is ripe on the 100+ fruit trees or that is ready in the garden, and visit some of the animals. Vegan Stuff! Because we rescue farm animals we ask that no animals products be brought in, cooked or consumed on property out of respect for them. Please keep it 100% vegan. If this is new for you, we have you covered! Your pantry is stocked with delicious plant-based items, many free and some for a suggested donation. You'll also have a loaded kitchen with plant based cook books! If we're available we can arrange plant based cooking classes, meals, snacks and farm tours upon request. We know this lifestyle might be new to you but it's the best thing we've ever done. Your stay could double as a cleanse from the standard American diet. More! The sanctuary lives up to it's name and is an incredibly special and peaceful place. Run down the tree covered road, do yoga in the rose garden, enjoy the sauna, take a Peloton class, read to the chickens (they love a good story), meditate with the pigs, and so much more. There is also an outdoor workout area, a gazebo for grilling and dining, and a lot to explore. Peacefield is a retreat and a tranquil escape for animals and humans:) We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the guest house directly supports the animals and our mission. These funds will be used for food, medicine, rescue operations, the emergency vet fund, and so much more! Location One of the coolest things about this place is that it feels so private and secluded yet less than 2 miles to Publix. Approximately 10 miles to downtown Gainesville, The Swamp (UF Stadium), The University of Florida, Whole Foods, and more! This is also a perfect launching pad to explore all the amazing natural springs in north central Florida. Ginnie Springs, and Ichetucknee Springs State Park are some of our favorites - and you're more than welcome to borrow some tubes and pumps. Although we're a little ways from the beach we do have beach chairs and umbrella for your use. Cedar key is about 45 minutes and St Augustine or Crescent Beach is about 1.5 hours. Getting around We live near one of the most beautiful roads for running and biking. Tree covered canopy for miles! There are also trails on the property for walking and exploring. You'll definitely want a car though. We have plenty of parking, outlets for electric cars, and Tesla charger (nema 14-50). Interacting with the animals. You can feed them and say hi from outside of their enclosures and pastures, but do not go in with them unless we are with you. Please always shut doors and gates behind you - they are sweet but escape artists :) This is a working farm so we will be around but the guest house is a separate structure and we'll give you plenty of privacy.
