Duncryne Hill is nearby and provides one of the best 360-degree views in Scotland and a spectacular panorama of Loch Lomond. A RSPB centre and a nature conservancy area is a short distance away, where a large variety of wildlife may be seen, including deer, ducks, geese, herons, raptors and swans. There is also a RSBV centre available. Local visits include distilleries and an aquarium.
