Whether you’re looking for a romantic setting, a base for sightseeing, or a beautiful spot where you can relax by the pool, Les Costes is the perfect choice. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and close to picturesque villages, many of which host colorful markets and offer a variety of restaurants. We’d be more than happy for you to contact us to discuss the cottage and the surrounding countryside Located in a small, quiet hamlet of just six houses on a dead-end road overlooking the picturesque Dropt Valley, this charming stone cottage is ideally situated between Eymet, a 13th-century bastide in the Dordogne, and Duras, with its magnificent castle in Lot-et-Garonne. The cottage is set in a private garden with a private terrace where you can dine al fresco. There is a table, chairs, and lounge chairs where you can relax among the lilacs and various fruit trees, which not only provide lovely natural shade but also invite you to enjoy the fruit—namely cherries, figs, plums, and apples—as they ripen. The pool is occasionally shared with us, Yvonne and Paul (though we won’t need to use it while you’re there), and around the pool, we provide lounge chairs, a table, and extra chairs exclusively for your use. Bicycles are available so you can enjoy and explore the Dropt Valley and the vineyards and surrounding region. If you’re not familiar with this region, you’ll be surprised to see how many beautiful medieval villages and towns are scattered throughout the area, hosting numerous festivals, including jazz and medieval festivals. You can also relax in the peaceful countryside and enjoy a book and/or a glass of wine by the pool, in the garden, or take a leisurely stroll through our two hectares of grounds.
