Apartment Il Capitano The large apartment, on two floors, is located in the main building of the Maniero and its name derives precisely from its historic function, namely that of being, in the Middle Ages, the home of the Captain guarding the fort. The apartment can be accessed through a beautiful Tuscan cypress door: all the doors are equipped with ancient medieval locks whose mechanics will only enchant you to look at them. The apartment is divided on the second floor in the living room, kitchen and bathroom, while on the second floor, connected by an ancient stone staircase,we find the bedrooms and a second bathroom. The room of the Camino or the Living room, as well as the entrance, enjoys particular brightness given the large windows overlooking the Court and the Tuscan Garden. The comfortable leather sofa is the master in the living area equipped with a TV corner: Tuscan charm details are the vintage cabinet with a porcelain tea collection, the old sideboard and the old fireplace that today has become an element of decorum that evokes the classic "focarile" typical Tuscan: the environment is extremely warm and cozy and embellished with vintage prints of Tuscan cities. The Kitchen: Entering the kitchen of the Capitano is like living a dream, the real medieval experience: the exposed stone walls illuminated by a large medieval chandelier, the masonry kitchen with an ancient suction hood and Tuscan majolica in ancient ochre, the Maniero's vintage copper collection, the old chestnut corner, the large extendable Tuscan-style table that will host you in your dinners, the enchanting view from the window kitchen on the Torre delle Quattro Porte... will leave you to say little without words. The rustic Tuscan masonry kitchen consists of a grilled sink, a large countertop recreated in the ancient manger and induction cooker: the refrigerator and dishwasher are located in the wooden recesses of the kitchen itself where you will also find pots, microwave, kettle, toaster and everything you need to prepare a beautiful Tuscan dinner! The bathroom, at the service of the living area, is completely covered with Tuscan majolicas dell 'Imprunetaed offers a large shower, toilet, bidet and typical stone sink on a local olive table that rests on an ancient sewing machine: a detail of inevitable style and charm. Camera del Capitano, the main room of the apartment, enjoys a particularly evocative location with exposed stone walls and two large windows that offer brightness and a breathtaking view of the medieval village of Vicopisano. The beautiful four-poster bed in antique spruce with fine curtains is the backdrop of the fortress, completely restored with the original ancient stones on view: at the foot of the bed an ancient period trunk and the closet finish the room illuminated with an evocative medieval chandelier. Room of the Knights, or quadruple room, owes its name to the use that was made of it in the Middle Ages that is to be a room at the service of passing knights. Today, however, the large central room equipped with a triple window and Tuscan terracotta floors of the Impruneta, offers two large bunk beds for a total of 4 large single beds(195cm x 85cm) all made of ancient fir, with a medieval security system. The rustic Tuscan cabinet, equipped with satellite and cable TV, also offers a fridge serving the entire sleeping area. Lieutenant's room, independent room located on the beautiful background of the fortification walls: equipped with a double window on the sides, the environment enjoys great brightness with views both of the internal courtyard of the manor and the private pool and the surrounding walls... for a truly unique and evocative awakening! The large four-poster bed in ancient fir in the center of the room with curtains is finely embellished with the closet and vintage dresser: finally, the detail of the suitcase as an element of decorum gives an unmistakable charm in the environment. The common area of the Oven is at the service of all guests. Il Forno Each Maniero apartment can enjoy the historic Oven, common and passing environment for all guests to access the exclusive pool, garden and interior loggia. The Forno is a one-of-a-kind environment that we strongly wanted to maintain in its original form: in the Middle Ages the real oven, which still measures 3 meters by 3 meters, was at the service of the entire village for the production of bread. Today we wanted to pay homage to them by making it the environment reserved for our Tuscan Cooking Courses, not to mention poolside aperitifs, wine&food tastings and weekly themed dinners. The Forno is finely decorated on the ceiling with the typical harnesses of our country's rural history: imagine learning in this fantastic location how to make fresh handmade pasta, Tuscan sweets and cookies, bruschetta and much more! Adjacent to the main room of the oven is another service room – called the Castro del Poriale: once there were pigs who also had the opportunity to go out in a fenced outdoor space that today is our corner aperitifs by the pool. In the Castro you will find a large fridge in service during your pool time to make you enjoy fresh drinks directly on site, as well as a large freezer divided into departments for each apartment that you can use if you need it. The Tuscan Stone Pool Incredible, it is the only adjective that we think can describe the environment we have created for you: the large private pool, made of stone from our Pisan Mountains and surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the medieval walls of Vicopisano. Guests of the Maniero del Brunelleschi - Medieval Apartments Resort will be able to boast of having, upon return from daily excursions, the possibility of swimming in the pool in a unique context such as that of a typical Tuscan medieval village. Details and style are not even missing in the outdoor spaces of the Maniero: copper shower and the recreated foot sink with an ancient capital and a stone grinder for the entrance to the pool. Each apartment will be able to enjoy around the pool area its own umbrella station, with charging for electronic devices and outdoor Wi-Fi, as well as a relaxation area under the porch: aperitifs and dinners by the pool, musical evenings and everything that will make your holiday unforgettable! The Medieval Court and the Tuscan Garden The great main courtyard of the Maniero has been restored with the same material of the time, namely the famous Impruneta terracotta. Protected by ancient columns and the centuries-old medieval wrought iron chain, the Court embellishes the Maniero facade with character and unmistakable medieval style thanks to the medieval coats of arms that still reflect the ancient power of the then fort. The Tuscan Garden is home to a large centuries-old olive tree of indomitable beauty under which you will find the pleasure of a break on the large stone benches of the Pisan Mountains. The magic continues even in the evening when the Corte del Maniero lights up with its lighting on the medieval walls of the property: a postcard image.. unforgettable!
