The Elkwood Inn is a warm rustic mountain lodge with a homey comfortable country feel 2 miles from Elk Mountain Ski Resort. It has 8 bedrooms each with private baths. There are many places to sit and work on a laptop but not in the rooms. There are window air conditioners available on an as needed basis or upon request, but are seldom needed. At this time, I am booked for the entire ski season though...sorry. There are 4 large screen cabled TVs and fiber WIFI available, and smaller tvs in the rooms with vcr/dvd players and a large collection of tapes and DVD for in-room viewing. There is a gas grill on the back deck that can be used as well. There are 2 wood fireplaces, 2 LP fireplaces and 1 electric fireplace for use. The LP fireplaces require knowledge of the appliances for use. If wood inside is used, it should be restoaked from the supplies outside before leaving. I am usually available to be there and help get folks settled. I can be accessible after that on site or I can leave. This is somewhat flexible based on your wishes and my schedule. I am always reachable by phone. I would be glad to point you in directions of fun places and things in the area. The area is great for hiking, motorsports, cycling, hunting, fishing, or golfing. There is alot of music in the area, and fun bars and restaurants. One mans middle of nowhere is another's middle of everywhere.
