The space This attached but private guest unit is nestled in a valley of trees in the Oakland hills. Cozy and quaint studio is perfect for a single traveler or a couple. Wild turkeys and deer are often seen off the backyard deck. Oakland hills is special because it provides refuge from the urban setting of the Bay Area. Nearby are towering redwood trees and endless hiking trails providing a rural feel while having access to what the Bay Area has to offer. Guest access This is a private studio space attached to the back of the main house with decks overlooking the forest and a private side entrance. Lockbox, self check-in access. Enjoy a peaceful escape from the hustle bustle of the city. Other things to note There are outdoor concrete stairs to access the unit. Streets are narrow and steep with no dedicated sidewalk as with most hills neighborhood. Cell phone service is spotty depending on your carrier. We have fast WiFi inside the unit. We live in the main house so you may hear an occasional sound. Trees sometimes obscure street signs and lampposts so trying to locate our house at night can be challenging. Although we are located within the city of Oakland, the hills have a rural feel. Teeming with wildlife, you may find occasional ants in the suite looking for water, or spot a family of raccoons, deer, or wild turkeys roaming the hillside.
