This fabulous bach has three bedrooms along with a very social open plan living area. It has all you need to enjoy the remarkable fishing, beaches and other attractions of the fantastic Karikari Peninsula, or to use as a base to explore the amazing Far North. We are located across the road from gorgeous Tokerau Beach, on a large 800m2 flat section which is perfect for those with boats. We are close to several beautiful beaches including Maitai Bay, and Karikari beach, and also to the Carrington resort. The bach has two double bedrooms with very comfortable queen size beds, as well as a bunkroom with two sets of bunks (ie four singles). It’s perfect for two families. Other great features are: - washing machine and dryer - outside fish filleting bench, with light - outside shower - very well set up kitchen with gas hob, wall oven, microwave, fridge freezer, a second medium size fridge, and a good selection of appliances to ensure long stays are very easy. - Patios on both East and West sides for the morning and afternoon sun. - a second outside dining table - Weber Q3200 gas barbecue - child friendly, (we have kids ourselves so there is a high chair, plastic crockery and cutlery, as well as a full size bath. - hammocks - daybed and couches so relaxing is very easy - separate toilet - washing line - good stereo with great CD collection - umbrella for outside - Dyson stick vacuum for quick sand clean up - continuous hot water system - two fish hot smokers available - cricket and pétanque sets for outdoor games - For winter visitors, we have heaters in every room, heated towel rails, the bach is fully insulated and there is a full sized bath. Please note that there is no TV and no wi-fi, but plenty of books, puzzles, games and other activities to ensure you won't miss them Please note there can be absolutely No parties sorry - we have elderly neighbours who we've known a long time and like very much. The Karikari peninsula is one of NZs best kept secrets. Regardless of the wind direction, there is a beach that is relatively sheltered only a short distance away. All the beaches on the peninsula are beautiful, but all for different reasons. Tokerau Beach is 12km long, often with good surf, great for walking, and Tuatuas are plentiful. Maitai Bay is famous for good reason with its double arch bays. Puwheke and Karikari beaches have white squeaky silica sand and usually very few people. And at Rangiputa the water is aqua just like a pacific island resort. Likewise for fishing, beach launching of boats can be from either side of the peninsula to suit the weather, at Rangiputa, or Whatuwhiwhi, or there is also a ramp at Taipa, 15mins away. Also for fisherfolk, the ReelRods fishing shop is a 3min drive away. www.reelrods.co.nz We find most people want to bring their own linen, but this is available for a small fee should you choose to leave yours at home. Special conditions: Smoking allowed outside only. Extras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$80.00 per stay) Linen (Optional, NZ$15.00 per person per stay)
