Berghaus Katharina in Mellau

Welcome to the Berghaus Katharina   "Yes in the beautiful Mellau", so the famous Sonnenwirtin once sang about the idyllic place in the Bregenzer Wald. Here, Berghaus Katharina lies on the southern slope, surrounded by nature. Looking for a place of peace and tranquility? Then you are exactly right in tradtioniell built mountain lodge. Surrounded by meadows, mountains and forests, you can let your mind wander. Enjoy the unique view of the Kanisfluh and the village Mellau. The Berghaus Katharina is directly accessible by car. Who wants to give up his car, can walk in about 20 minutes to Mellau. Snow chains are still highly recommended because the snowplow scatters no salt. Directly from the house there are hiking and Montainbikemöglichkeiten. Other recreational activities such as skiing in winter, swimming in summer, hiking and bike trails, guided tours and more round off your holiday. The four bedrooms are each equipped with two to four beds and can accommodate 9 guests. Two cots are also available. There is also a bathroom with shower, a kitchen and a living room. All rooms are simple but functional. Heater: In the living room is now a fireplace pellet stove (9 KW) with a 31 kg storage tank. The fully automatic temperature control ensures long-lasting and pleasant warmth and loads, for example, after a day's skiing to relax and linger in front of the fire. Before your arrival to the Berghaus Katharina, the pellet stove will be activated by me so that you will be welcomed by a heated and warm room. All you have to do is fill the oven daily with a sack of pellets and you can enjoy lasting and even warmth. Warm water: A water heater in the bathroom provides hot water in the bathroom and in the kitchen. Bed linen, towels, tea towels etc. are not provided. You have to bring this yourself.
