Hikers: We have many great trails in our area and Mount Beacon is in walking distance from our accommodation. It is highly recommended that you bring proper hiking boots and poles !!! Our guests have their own private room with a queen size bed and their own private bathroom. The french doors provide a PRIVATE ENTRANCE and also leads out onto a porch with comfortable outdoor furniture. We are just a four minute walk to the east end of town and a twenty to thirty minute walk to the train, depending on your pace. There are a number of cabs at the Beacon Metro North train station, if you choose to come by train. You can also take your bike onto the train with you if you prefer pedaling. I’m still putting together a new garden and I'm enjoying that project immensely. We moved into town seven years ago, from the sticks, to be close to activities and services which are abundant In Beacon. Dax, the nine year old rescue, is our dogbell. She doesn't go into our guest room but she does shed , and I don't know how, but her hair tends to float to the furthest regions of the universe, and into all sorts of nooks and crannies. We keep our guest room super clean, but I can't say that you won't find a stray hair hidden someplace. We're a one dog house, so unfortunately we cannot accommodate another animal.
