Description

Whether reconnecting to your significant other, finding time and space to deescalate and heal in a beautifully unique and peaceful environment, Alaya Escape is the perfect choice for those wanting to remember to be a "human being, rather than a human doing" once more. Additional indulgences and experiences in the form of floatation tanks, Canadian hot rocks sauna, massages and 4-night positive psychology retreats available. Alaya Escape, Bali on the Sunshine Coast - Come and Feel the Difference! The space Lush, tropical gardens, water features, ponds, sauna and floatation tank designed to completely deescalate from the stressors of the world. There are numerous places for bushwalking and supplied mountain bikes for those who wish to venture further, quicker. All rooms have bamboo flooring, their own decks, pool-views, tasteful, yet minimalistic, decor, fireplaces and jetted hot tubs. Guest access Entire property - resort style Other things to note Some points to consider for bookings: Contact us prior to arriving and then again directly upon arrival and we will meet you and/or direct you to your room. Your key will be left in your room for your arrival and please leave in the door upon departure. If you are not sure which is your room, don't stress, as we will sort things for you upon arrival. All rooms overlook / surround our oasis pool and they all have their unique charms! Arrival is at 2pm and departure at 10.00am. Your breakfast hamper we provide a large complimentary hamper of bacon, eggs, muffins, butter, jam etc will either be waiting for you in your fridge or will be delivered to your room by 6pm on the day of your arrival. Water - although our environment is a lush tropical paradise, water is a precious commodity on the mountain and we kindly ask that guests be mindful of water use and moderate use where possible. Please note that the water may have a slightly 'tan' appearance at times and please note that this is due to the tannin in the leaves of many surrounding trees, but is very safe to drink, is filtered and also makes your hair very soft and 'fluffy'. Owners' other part-time occupation is cleaning gutters it seems :-). Firewood - We provide an amount of firewood and ignition material for your stay and, after using it, you are able to replenish the container yourself from the stack opposite the car park. $10 per small container will be charged to your account and this is simply to offset the costs of firewood as it is 'burnt through' very quickly on the mountain. As with all of our resources and generosity, we trust that it is used mindfully and in a manner that supports your having a wonderful time and our desire to run a sustainable and affordable retreat. An honour system is in place for purchase of drinks (pay upon departure) from the bar and borrowing of books (FREE and return after use) from the library. The bar area fridge door is locked, but we will let you know where to find the key when we catch up. Mountain bikes - temporarily out of use. Towels and linen - We provide industry grade commercially cleaned linen and one towel per person. Additional towels can be hired from Alaya Escape for $5 each. All of our linen and towels are hired from a professional local service. In the case of Nusa Dua 2 bdrm, use of both rooms for 2 people (or 1 person in each room) will incur cleaning and linen charges of $50. Cleaning: We ask that the rooms be left in good order with any cutlery and dishes washed and put away and rubbish placed in the outside bins provided before departure. Should you prefer that our cleaners do this, we will organise this for an additional $50 onto your reservation. Rooms left in an unsatisfactory manner will incur additional cleaning charges immediately. Sauna, floatation tank and massages: These are optional extras for consideration when staying at the retreat. Please do not enter the sauna for any reason without first talking to owners and please consult with medical professionals before seeking to use the sauna. Children - Alaya Escape is an adults retreat, however, children MAY be considered depending on bookings and other factors. Guests MUST obtain verbal or written permission from the owners of Alaya Escape prior to arrival if there is a request to have children stay. We do not accept kids at all times in the year, but as parents of 2 little girls, we also want to provide opportunities for families to holiday in our 'peace' of paradise where possible. Charges and conditions apply. Pets - please be aware that if you have booked and have a pet that you would like to bring, then you MUST receive verbal or written permission from the owners of Alaya Escape first. We do not accept pets at all times or in all rooms and is dependent on seasonal conditions, other bookings and the discretion of the owners. Stringent expectations are in place to maintain the integrity of our rooms, property and the experience of other guests - charges of $50 per pet per night will apply. Smoking - We honour the right for people to smoke at our retreat, however, smoking is restricted to outdoor areas and decks only. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside rooms and penalties may apply including repainting of interiors. Please dispose of butts and ash carefully. Connection and Relationship - We promote and expect mutual respect between all people that come here. We treat people with kindness, generosity and flexibility and pride ourselves in the friendly and supportive way that we support guests' enjoying their special time. We strive to find that balance between being available for guests, providing space and living our own lives. We value constructive feedback and are very interested in your experience and are here to support your having a great time, so please contact us with any inquiries or concerns before, during or after your stay on the details below. Spread the word - we are a family-run small business and we are continually evolving this incredible destination towards where we want it to be. Should you have any concerns or are unhappy with something, please contact us so that we can remedy the situation straight away. We do hope that you love the place as much as we (and so many others) do and will pass on 'the love' through your on-line and verbal reviews to others. Your reviews are important to the success of our business and we aim to provide the best support and experience possible as a service to you and towards continuing to develop our reputation as a warm, happy, peaceful and enjoyable holiday experience.
