The picturesque resorts of Staithes, Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Whitby are just a short drive away. Alternatively, the village is on a direct bus route into Whitby, perfect for avoiding parking at busy times. The cottage is close to two village inns serving good locally sourced produce and real ales; both are dog friendly. Other village amenities on hand include a family butcher, petrol station, churches, village hall, tennis courts, hair salon and a fish and chip shop. Hinderwell is an ideal base for walking holidays and is close to rural walking routes. Ferndene Cottage is perfectly located to access the Cleveland Way National Trail and the Esk Valley Walk.
