Guests have access to the entire cabin & treehouse, and there is plenty of parking for several vehicles at the end of the private driveway. Our cabin and treehouse in Skyline Lakes which is located on the west face of the Blue Ridge Mountains, about 15 miles south of the town of Luray, Virginia. Nestled in a hollow formed by four intersecting ridges at an altitude range of 2240 to 2960 feet above sea level. Skyline lakes is nearly surrounded by Shenandoah National Park. Skyline lakes is just a few miles from Big Meadows campground and lodge, and attractions such as Blackrock lookout, Lewis Falls, Skyline Drive and the Appalachian Trail are all within a short hike. The South Fork of the Shenandoah River is 15 minutes away. Skyline Lakes has 11 miles of unpaved roads, a one-acre pond (Lake Meadows), and views of the Blue Ridge, Massanutten and Appalachian Mountains. Trails lead into the park to the waterfalls on Naked Creek. There is plenty of parking in front of the cabin. Please use caution and slower speeds on the neighborhood's gravel roads as you approach the cabin! If this is your first time driving in the mountains, please exercise caution on steep downgrades (such as Tanner's Ridge Road) - you may need to slow your vehicle and shift into a lower gear. WINTER ACCESS **IMPORTANT: December – March bookings: During the winter months, a four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicle may be required to access the property; please plan accordingly.
