Description

Newly remodeled 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom bungalow with a kitchen and living room. Stay in a house all to yourself. Incredibly clean and filled with lots of light! This airbnb would be best suited for someone who wants to rent a small, private house for themselves to experience life in LA As experienced hosts, we've welcomed hundreds of guests from around the world! We can no longer accommodate early / late check ins / out or luggage storage / onsite parking. The space Free street parking only. Unfortunately, we do not have parking available on the property for this Airbnb. Generally parking is not bad M-F before 5pm. It gets a little harder if you arrive late in the evening. Generally, finding free street parking is much easier than most LA neighborhoods such as Dtla, Koreatown, Weho, where it is actually impossible. Pls contact the host if you have any issues. (Consider that you can also decide to rent a car in Downtown LA ) after you arrive. Uber and the subway are also options. Please be aware that check in starts at 4pm on the first day of your stay, not earlier. This is to ensure that your stay does not overlap with another guest’s stay (who may be checking out earlier that day) and so that we can thoroughly clean and disinfect the entire Airbnb. If the Airbnb is available earlier, I will let the guest know on the day of check in but I cannot guarantee it. If you require an early check in or late check out time, you will need to book an additional day before or after your original booking dates. This house is one of three detached houses on 1 lot of land. That means, you'll be sharing the exterior space (front and back yards) with other guests. However, the bungalow is your own private space and is not shared. We installed a new electric water heater and the temperature is warm at its highest point and does not get scalding hot. The water temperature will be warm, not scalding hot. If there’s more than one guest, you will have to wait about 15 minutes between showers for the electric water heater to reheat. Please be aware of this. There is one AC window unit in the living room. This airbnb gets a lot of light March-October when it gets very sunny in LA. If you are sensitive to natural light, during the warmer months, this airbnb may not be the right fit for you. If you plan on making a lot of noise (are you a DJ? ), partying, or being generally destructive/a nuisance, then this is NOT the airbnb for you. This is our property, our possessions, and our neighbors (we work hard to keep good relations with them). If you plan on being destructive, need a place to trash/party, a recording studio, a shooting location, please book a hotel instead. There is no smoking or vaping tobacco, weed, or anything indoors. Candles and incense are also not allowed. Guests are welcome to smoke or vape outdoors. No drugs (weed is the only exception but only outside), no parties, no large gatherings, no unauthorized filming/photography/shoots. Guests have access to free street parking. We do not have parking onsite. There is a front and back yard with plants. The outdoor area is the only area shared with other guests, which is monitored by surveillance cameras. Please do not try to sneak in pets or service animals. As stated on the house rules of our listing, we cannot accommodate any type of animal. Some guests might find our strict rules difficult, but this is the only way (in our experience) to ensure that we can provide all of our guests with a good and fair experience, as well as maintain good relations with our neighbors. Airbnb offers all of us an affordable means of travel (as opposed to hotels) but as regulations in metropolitan areas get tighter, the listings get slimmer. Guests who behave badly only contribute to the narrative that sharing platforms like airbnb should not exist at all in major cities like LA, which is (coincidentally) experiencing an explosion of expensive luxury hotel development. That being said, I would like to remind guests that if cannot agree to our house rules, there are plenty of other motels, hotels and listings in LA that start at 2-3x our listing price. As experienced hosts, we’ve done our absolute best to show the layout and details of this listing. Often guests complain about details that we have already disclosed, amenities we never offered (such as making reservations at restaurants, getting tickets to theme parks, etc.), or transportation logistics, idiosyncratic proclivities (For example, not liking the artwork, etc.). Although we are always here to address any issues and help out in any way possible, there are also things beyond our control. For example, we don’t know a guest’s schedule or travel plans in LA. A location that might be ideal for one person might not be for the next. We are also not mind readers and cannot help a guest if they don’t communicate with us. Please also keep in mind that Los Angeles is one of the most expensive cities to live in in the world. The cost of living, goods, and services are all high in LA. If you don’t include LA county, Los Angeles is the 2nd most populated city (after NYC). California is the most populated state in the USA. You are visiting a major metropolitan area and you should keep expectations in line with that reality. I apologize if these statements seem a bit blunt but we’d rather present to guests with absolute clarity what this Airbnb is and isn’t. Guest access Guests will have full access of their private house as well as the shared yards. Other things to note Please note, construction is being done to add additional subway connections ( Regional Connector Transit Project) and there may be interruptions to some lines. In these instances, the city has set up buses to bridge any gaps. The nearest train is the Gold line at the Indiana stop. By summer 2022, if the city is on schedule, you’ll be able take the train ( probably about 40 min) to Santa Monica without having to transfer lines Downtown. Located in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles next-door to Entity Magazine HQ, this cozy renovated apt on a quiet residential street is adjacent to Downtown LA. (It’s literally a 8-10 min drive straight down 1 st, ) It is also a 10 minute walk to the subway. Close to Monterey Park, Brooklyn Heights, Echo Park, Silverlake, Pasadena, Highland Park, USC Keck, Cal State LA, Sci Arc, Vernon, USC main campus, Staples Center, Dodger Stadium, Little Tokyo, Chinatown, Moca, Fashion District, Sci Arc, etc. From time to time, the neighbors behind the house can play music loudly. If this is the case, please call/text the host so we can ask them to turn the volume down. There are several children that live there and they can get loud on the weekends. You may hear fireworks being set off in the neighborhood from especially during a holiday. Technically, it is prohibited but very difficult to enforce.
