Description

Our unique Barn Loft is the perfect back to nature, streamside home, on our family farm. Your adventure is in your backyard, or just beyond. Our home provides a cozy and romantic setting, for reflection, connection, and relaxation. The space Our barn loft was originally the bull pen to our large dairy operation. Exposed original beams, our own milled wood and stone work accentuate the charm of our rustic home and simple living. Open and bright, our space invites friends and lovers alike to relax and connect, explore  and reflect. The great room hosts the lounging area and kitchen, with views of the pasture. The master loft has a king size bed, clean linens and a balcony looking out at our majestic Shagbark Hickory. The back room with an exposed original barn wood wall, large window to the pasture, is open to the main room. Perfect for yoga, reading, relaxing. Our stone patio sits next to our apple tree. Here, you and your guests may relax, BBQ on a charcoal grill, or drink the night away around our fire pit. Our bathroom is a one of a kind hand built stone walled shower. Within the garden is a seasonal summer solar heated shower, to relax and rinse among ferns and morning glories, looking out onto the pasture. Every part of our unique and quirky home has been built in the family over generations, and we invite you to share our experience and be a part of our story! Guest access Located on an active farm, you will have access to gardens (when in season) watch our cattle graze, or dip in the stream just beyond the barn. Our fields vary from season to season, filled with vegetables, flowers, hay fields, corn fields, Christmas tree plantation, and our newest addition of a starter lavender field. As a working farm, we have two fields of grazing cattle, who love to be fed apples! We do ask that you respect their space in the field and to never cross into barbed wired areas. Our home is located down a private driveway next to one of the cow pastures, and past our chicken coop. Additionally, guests may request the purchase of farm raised eggs and fresh produce, depending on what is available seasonally. Sheds behind the home and property are off limits to guests. Other things to note As the only remaining section of our barn, this home is very special. It is our diamond in the rough, that we plan to keep a little rough charm to, but so special a space and property that we invite all those looking for natures comfort and rekindling. **We do require guests to have experience using a woodstove for use at our barn. Please let us know prior to your stay for provided firewood **The water heater is small, enough for a hot shower, but will take time to refill between uses. **We ask for special requests from our guests who wish to bring their children or four legged friends along beforehand. **There is no a/c in the barn, but placement of the building, and windows, allows for natural cooling. A fan in the loft helps circulate air. Summer temperatures will not be as cold as a/c air.
