Also nearby is the castle of St George (16th century Venetian castle - the capital of Cephalonia up to 1757) with all round views and clifftop restaurants, Mount Ainos national park and Mazarakata graves (post Minoan). The capital, Argostoli, with shops, restaurants, bars and clubs is 20 minutes drive. Supermarkets are 10 minutes drive away and the nearest village of Spartia with its small stores and the beach, are both 2 minutes drive.
