Totally renovated apartment with lots of unique touches! Walking distance to Hagerstown City Park which has been called America's second most beautiful city park. The Mansion House Art Gallery, Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, an outdoor concert stage, Western MD 202 Locomotive, Hager House Museum, walking paths, playgrounds, ballfields and lighted tennis courts are within the park. Antietam/Gettysburg Battlefields, Hagerstown Arts & Entertainment District and Cultural Trail nearby. Fantastic space to relax and recharge after visiting Hagerstown or Western Maryland scenic or historic spots or while visiting friends or family in the area! This is a beautifully renovated ground floor apartment in building with 4 units originally built in 1869 on historic block in Hagerstown. Beautifully restored parquet floors throughout apartment carefully polished with European hard wax treatment. One-of-a-kind hand laid "penny" floor in the kitchen is a work of art including new, old and zinc plated steel pennies (produced only during WWII as copper was reserved for artillery) in unique design. Kitchen and bathroom have been totally remodeled and stylishly updated with all modern amenities. Outside seating areas on both the front porch of the building as well as the private patio directly off the bedroom. Kitchen includes refrigerator, convection microwave (can be used as oven), cooktop and dishwasher drawer. Bathroom includes combined tub and shower with glass enclosure. Combined washer/drawer unit is housed in closet in apartment. Early check-in or late check-out may be available (check with me first) - if not, you can arrange to store bags before check-in or after check-out, so you can continue to enjoy the area. Entire apartment including living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Seating area on the front porch. Guests may, or may not interact with the owner. It is up to their discretion on how engaged they would like to be. South Prospect Street Historic District is a 19th and early 20th century residential neighborhood which was once the address of many of Hagerstown's leading citizens. The street is lined with 50 structures representing America's varied and strong architectural heritage. Uber and various taxi services are available. This property is also on the city bike path, if cycling is desired. This neighborhood is walkable to the Hagerstown City Park and downtown areas. The living room has a Smart-TV. You can log in to your Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon accounts, etc (know your passwords:) The tv is NOT connected to cable, but I do have a subscription to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and Sling, so you can watch some live TV. Please note there are areas of this property that are in a state of renovation. Contractors are asked to keep noise to a minimum when there are guests, so there should be no disturbance:) Even though my listing says pet friendly, I don’t accept cats due to allergies.
