No smokers of any kind. This upper level "Breezy Blue" Rm has a deluxe queen bed in our Craftsman style home in the Proctor District, Tacoma's premier urban village. The shared bath just two steps away has a modern glass walled in shower. Includes continental breakfast and usually a hot breakfast on Sunday. Walk 3 blocks to fine dining/entertainment, a mile to UPS campus. Kindly let us know your ETA between 4 - 9pm. $25 extra fee for early/late arrivals. The space The sunny, south-facing Fab "Breezy Blue" Room is located upstairs in our classic Craftsman style home right next to the modern shared bath. It overlooks our private, fully-fenced lush garden with newly expanded patio, ready for special events for up to 30 guests; pre-arrangements required. A ping pong table is at the ready or relax in one of our many comfortable areas - solarium, gazebo, grape arbor, patio or fire pit. This Blue Room has Tommy Bahama decor with lots of fresh towels, tallboy dresser, two large chairs, table, closet with robes and wooden hangers. A large mirror, airy chandelier, bedside tables and individual reading lamps complete the room. Each of our rooms has it's own wall heat and portable A/C to accommodate your personal comfort range. Our home reflects our colorful, eclectic, and unpretentious, Seattle-native style where 20th century to current tech advances combine to provide simple comfort and beauty. Relax in our theatre room with Netflix, DVD or TiVo available, along with Karaoke, Wii and plenty of board games for entertainment. Our hearty & healthy continental breakfasts with freshly-brewed coffee or tea always bring smiles. Help yourself to our 24/7 snack bar for a huge tea selection, apple cider or hot cocoa, nuts, and a variety of cookies. We vary our breakfast menu daily except on Sundays when you can expect John's awesome, homemade gluten-free banana pancakes. There's always fresh fruit and yogurt to round out your breakfast. If you decide to dine out, there are many great restaurants 3 blocks away, in the upscale Proctor District or venture to 6th Ave. or the nearby Ruston Way waterfront for more amazing restaurant choices. Our friendly indoor-outdoor hypoallergenic cat, Tawnee, welcomes all of our guests. Wi-Fi is available throughout the home. There's one off-street parking space and several on our side of the corner streets. Guest access A unique key code is provided when you and your party arrive. House rules and expectations are listed in each of our rooms. During your stay We are very respectful of your time and privacy. We take our interaction level from your cues. We enjoy the uniqueness of each person and are happy to accommodate whatever level of interaction you need or want. We have varying outside work and social obligations, so we can be reached by phone if our help is needed. Other things to note Our hypoallergenic cat, Tawnee, is quite friendly, though not a true lap cat. She prefers the outdoors. We do ask you not to let her out after dark. John and Marlene are knowledgeable Seattle natives; happy to help you plan your trip, make arrangements and point you in the right direction to suit your taste. There is something for every age group from toddlers to elders within 3-4 block walk. University of Puget Sound is just 1 mile. The Ruston Way waterfront is a convenient 1.5 miles and we are in a sweet spot being half-way between the Tacoma Dome and Point Defiance Park. There is a wealth of cultural offerings, outdoor activities and leisure-time choices in our "South Sound" Pacific NW. Our garden and large patios are fully private with locked gates. We're always ready for a challenging game of ping pong. We've held many large events and if you want to reserve our backyard for a special occasion, please let us know. These arrangements are outside of the Airbnb platform, and are considered, on a case by case basis. We can accommodate up to 60 people and have table settings for 30. We have a BBQ, fire pit, outdoor speakers, tables and enough chairs to seat 30 comfortably. Fees negotiable.
