Description

Family gatherings are great in this house. Its kitchen is ready for you to walk in, stock it with your favorite foods and gather round to serve it up. The house has a good supply of board games, children's books, and local brochures for fun things to see and do around the county and beyond. Curl up with your beverage of choice and enjoy pastoral views and feeding birds from the front porch, and at night enjoy dark night skies around the firepit. The space This is a grand old home. Built in Goliad in 1877, she has all kinds of architectural touches that make her special: Long-leaf pine wood walls and 12-ft ceilings, crown molding, 8- ft. windows, etched glass porch door, 2 working fireplaces (good supply of wood provided at no extra fee), modern kitchen with dishes and flatware for 18, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, crock pot, blender, 2 drip coffee makers (even a 40-cup!), fondue pot and more! The house can be rented by the bedroom or by the house for 2 night minimum. Each bedroom has private bath. The house features 2 fireplaces, living room, fully stocked kitchen (cook your own meals) and outdoor cooking grills as well. Guests are invited to enjoy the ranch's mowed hike/bike trails, fishing ponds, and abundant bird and wildlife. Birding is our forte, as we're located on the migratory path and our natural habitat and feeding and watering stations draw in large varieties of species. A Club Cart is available for getting around at $15/day rental as well. Guest access The 17 acre guest house compound consists of 3 houses within 100 feet of one another. Each house has its own firepit, outdoor grill, and porches, and ample space has been set aside between homes to allow for privacy. Guests are certainly welcome to interact, but space should be respected. There is rarely an occasion when all houses are active at the same time, unless we have a full booking of a reunion. have access to the entire 700 plus acres. Other things to note We do not provide meals but do provide you every tool you need to make your own meals - indoors and out.
