Idyllic old forge at Lake Sorpe

Welcome to our listed old forge at Schloss Melschede! From here you can go directly on hiking trails for wonderful tours and walks in the idyllic Sauerland. Alternatively, you can simply relax and enjoy the silence and romance of this gem. All shops serving everyday needs are within a 10-minute drive. Lake Sorpe with its many recreational opportunities is just two kilometers away as the crow flies. The space The old forge has a kitchenette, dining area and living room area with pellet stove and TV on the first floor. From there, the small shower room and the stairs to the 1st floor with the bedroom. The forge has a fiber optic Wi-Fi Internet connection and the cell phone reception is also only available outside the door in D-network quality. Our standard arrival and departure days are Monday and Friday. If you would like other arrival or departure days, please just write to us. We will always find a solution! We look forward to welcoming all guests to Sauerland! Unfortunately, the forge is not barrier-free, as the bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom is tiny. Guest access The old forge is available for our guests for exclusive use. Parking in the castle parking lot. Check-in can take place independently via the information from the check-in email we send to our guests before arrival.
